Atascadero Lake Wading Pool

The wading pool opens June 12th and will be open 7 days a week through August 24!

All children must wear a suit no diapers allowed.

Days Mon thru Sun 11:00 to 6:00 pm

 

Mommy and Me

Every Tuesday and Thursday

4:00 pm

We will shut down the pool for a half hour for mommies and their little ones to enjoy a Mommy and Me swim. Swimming with your newborns is very relaxing and helps introduce kids to the water.

 

ZOO SWIM DAY

June 18 - July 2, 16, & 30 – August 13 & 27

Double your fun at the Lake this summer by signing up for our Zoo Swim Day!

Kids will start the day off by touring the Charles Paddock Zoo with lifeguards or REC Leaders. After learning about different animals and taking a short break, they’ll have the rest of the day to play in the wading pool! Select the date you would like to attend. The Zoo tour will begin at 11:00 am.

$3.00 for residents $3.30 for non-residents

 

Water Totters Swim Lessons

Monday thru Thursday @ 4:30 in two week blocks

6/21 thru 7/1  --- 7/12 thru 7/22 --- 8/9 thru 8/19

For the first time we will be offering swim lessons at the Lake Park Pool! Kids enrolled in our program will learn the basic skills needed to start their swimming career. These will include bubbles, floats, kicking styles and all around comfort in the water. These lessons are meant for first time swimmers only! Swim lessons will be about 15-20 minutes long. Please sign up for the weeks you would like your child to participate. An adult must accompany all children under two!

Fee: $10.00 for residents $11.00 for non-residents.

 

Lake Hikes

Every Sunday Afternoon 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

6/13 thru 8/22

We will be giving kids who are swimming the option of taking a short hike around the Lake. One of the Lifeguards present will lead the group while teaching them about the local wildlife and plants – you may even get to feed the ducks!

SWIM LESSONS

This unique system utilizes stations, so swimmers learn at their own individual rate! We maintain quality control through use of a “Site Supervisor” and by limiting class size.

SPRINGBOARD DIVING

Ages 11 yrs and up

We offer all levels of instruction in a well designed  class. Our diving boards are top of the line Durafirm 1 meter springboards. A background in gymnastics, trampoline and/or dance can be very beneficial for aspiring divers.

Dates: Sessions are 4 weeks long

Times: Tuesdays  from 6:00 – 7:30 PM

Saturdays from 4:00 – 5:30 PM

Cost $45 for KCF Members $55 for Guests

Mornings & Evenings for 14+ yrs

Ranges from $30-$75 a month

11 yrs & under must pass SwimAmerica “Station 10” or equivalent 12+ yrs must be assessed by a coach before placement

Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:30 – 7:30 PM

Cost: $25 for members and $45 for Guests

Participants must have the ability to swim 25 meters of freestyle unassisted in deep water

LIFEGUARD TRAINING

This all-inclusive class is designed to prepare and certify participants to be lifefguards. Included in the course is the American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard Training, ARC First Aid with Title 22, and ARC CPR for the professional rescuer. Minimum number of participants required.

Minimum age 15 upon completion of the course

Sessions are 4 weeks long

Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30 – 8:30 PM

Saturdays 8:30 – 4:30 PM

Cost $197.00 includes all materials, certificates, course fees, and pool fees.
