In addition to the 24-movement Yang Style Form, instruction will include breathing, stretching and movement exercises. While learning the basic principles of Tai Chi Chuan we will emphasize correct body mechanics and relaxation to improve mind/body coordination and balance. Learn how to "speed up" by slowing down. By practicing movements slowly we aim to improve centeredness and ease of movement. Moving slowly will also aid us in slowing down our minds, which translates to decreased mental stress and therefore better overall health.
